RECAP BY Masshole
Game 1: Landing Zone Albany. NB as NVA.
Game 1 had NB setting up a line across the map that proved too strong for ODR to pass through. NB was able to hold the whole map and did not allow ODR to get an extra spawn point. Top 3 scorers for that game were, Hybrid, Masshole, and Blitz. Machine was inhuman and did not die that match. Kudos! Score NB 89-0
Game 2: NB as USA.
Game 2 had NB attempting to break through ODR's blockade of the US base. After 3 attempts NB was able to break through and capture Landing Zone Albany. (Buclem did the honors and turned the flag. Gj and welcome back!) From there NB made multiple attemptes to capture and hold The Farm. NB was able to capture the spot but never held it for a significant amount of time, resulting in the NVA tilted side win for ODR. Score 0-81 ODR. Despite the loss, NB had the two top medals winners. Wasabi jr. 1st and Darlord 2nd. Buclem played well. Nice effort by all.
Game 3: NB as NVA
For the tie breaker NB had choice of side by virtue of their point lead following the previous two matches.. NB chose NVA.
Once again NB attempted to block out ODR. The second time was not successful. ODR was able to get a jeep out in the beginning stages of the game. (This was due to inopertune spawns and Masshole not realizing he was in the drivers seat of the jeep. This delay caused the northwest team not to make it out in the road in time, thus a jeep got through.)
ODR captured Landing Zone Albany, and then went on to capture The Farm. NB utilized the NVA tunnel spawn and took away LZA. This caused a constant ticket bleed that proved to be ODR's undoing. The rest of the match saw Columbus switch hands a couple times and NB making 2 attempts to take ODR's main base. This tactic kept ODR off balance and thus they were unable to offer a strong attack anywere else. (ODR left 3 people intheir main after the two attacks.) Final score was NB 54 -0. NB had the top two scorers. Hand 1st and Hybrid 2nd. Kudos goes out to Vass for doing a very good job defending the NVA base. ODR hit it very hard a couple times and Vass was able to hold them off. Props to Vass for COing tonights match.
NB is now 1 win and 0 losses in CAL league play. Thank you and great job to all who participated.
